Mayo Experts Pen Genomics Review in NEJM

By @

Just a heads up here -- if you're wondering what medical genomics has done for you lately, Liewei Wang, M.D., Ph.D., Howard McLeod, Pharm.D., and Richard Weinshilboum, M.D., all of Mayo, have published a review article on Genomics and Drug Response in this week's New England Journal of Medicine. They are well aware of the skeptics who've written recently (on the 10th anniversary of the human genome mapping) complaining that there have been few clinical applications from the genomics world. Their article includes evidence to the contrary, at least as far as pharmacogenomics is concerned.
