Dispatch from the Field 4-26-12

From Joel Streed, Mayo Clinic News Network

Well, the acclimation/testing day has come and gone and it's back to the trail.  We have a shorter day in store...4-5 hours and about 1,000 meters.  That will take us to about 15,500 feet and just a day away from base camp.  Ang Temba Sherpa, our guide says this is the day that you really start to feel the altitude.  If that's the case, what is that we've all been feeling so far?

We've been told that there will be no internet or cellular service from now until we hit base camp, so we'll be back with an update in a couple of days.
