Mayo Clinic experts will present on a variety of IT topics at the 2018 Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) conference, March 5-9, in Las Vegas.
HIMSS describes itself as a “global, cause-based, not-for-profit organization focused on better health through information technology.” Its annual conference draws 10s of thousands of health information and technology leaders and contributors, and offers a broad view of developments and trends in the industry.
Mayo Clinic is an organizational member of HIMSS, and each year, many of Mayo’s health information and technology experts attend to learn and share best practices.
In 2018, Mayo experts are featured in a number of presentations throughout the week. These experts are from an array of specialties, including information technology, emergency care research, medical oncology and health systems engineering. They will share best practices and lessons learned on a variety of health care-related topics, including opioids, artificial intelligence, clinical trials matching, and more.
